Beth Fredrick is the Executive Director of the Advance Family Planning (AFP) advocacy initiative of The Bill & Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She is also a Senior Associate with the Department of Population, Family and Reproductive Health and co-director of the Center for Public Health Advocacy. She has worked with the Johns Hopkins University Center for Communications Programs, the International Women’s Health Coalition, and the Guttmacher Institute. She is an expert in sexual and reproductive rights and health, advocacy, communications, grantmaking and fundraising. She has served as board Chair of the Ibis Reproductive Health and serves on the Board of EMpower, a grant-making organization focusing on youth programs in emerging markets.
