Simon Cooke is the Chief Executive Officer of Marie Stopes International, a global non-profit organisation providing contraceptive, safe abortion and post abortion care services to the most marginalised women and girls across 37 developing countries. Simon is a veteran of the consumer goods industry, having spent 15 years with Procter & Gamble, and 8 years with Reckitt Benckiser, where he was General Manager Middle East and North Africa until 2012, based in Dubai and is now based in the UK. His vision is to merge best practices from the private sector, including financial metrics, with successful approaches within the international development sector to deliver better value for donors and stakeholders, better accountability and governance, and ultimately, more sustainable delivery of life-saving services in support of women’s reproductive health and rights.
