Dr. Hala Al Sarraf is the founder and executive director of the Iraq Health Access Organization (IHAO). IHAO focuses on the hard-to-reach areas across Iraq and provides primary health care, reproductive health and gender-based violence services. The organization also offers legal services to the internally displaced community in two governorates in Iraq. Prior to founding IHAO, Dr. Al Sarraf worked at the World Health Organization in Iraq. She is a Fulbright Scholar and earned her MPH, with a concentration in health policies, from Columbia University, New York.  In 2016, Dr. Al Sarraf received the Refugees International Organization's award in recognition of her work on behalf of displaced Iraqi citizens.  She now serves as a member of the Refugees International Advisory Council.
