Mrs. Bernadette Resian Loloju is the Chief Executive Officer of the Anti-FGM Board Kenya. An alumni of Alliance Girls High school, has a degree in Community Development from Daystar University and a Masters degree in Global Community Development from Southern Adventist University, Tennessee, USA. She has served in different capacities in the field of girls and women empowerment for more than 15 years. Through her efforts she has been able to save many girls from Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and child marriage. Bernadette has worked with World Vision Kenya for 10 years before joining the Government of Kenya to serve at the Anti-FGM Board as
the first Chief Executive Officer. She has a dream of having a World that is free from Female Genital Mutilation by 2030. Being a survivor of FGM, she feels that it is possible for every girl in the World to be safe, so long as communities are fully engaged in the process of bringing the cut to an end. Ending FGM will highly contribute to girls and women empowerment and realization of vision 2030 and sustainable development goals.
