Mabel Sengendo Nabaggala
Sonke Gender Justice

Mabel is a feminist with over 10 years experience in Gender, Human Rights and key development topics across Africa, including Gender-Based Violence prevention, SRHR, women’s economic empowerment, Refugee and forced migration.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences with a double major in Psychology and Social Administration from Makerere University, and a Master’s degree in International Development Studies.

Mabel works with Sonke Gender Justice, a South African NGO that  works to create the change necessary for men, women, young people and children to enjoy equitable, healthy and happy relationships that contribute to the development of just and democratic societies.

She is the Regional Programmes Manager, providing technical support to programs in the 22 MenEngage Africa countries.
