Patience is an Development Management Specialist with 10 years professional experience in the development sector. She has built her knowledge and skills around integrated approaches in market engagement strategies; value chain programming; micro finance; climate smart agriculture; and nutrition sensitive agriculture. Her work aims at diversification of income sources for smallholder farmers, women empowerment, building farmer groups and farmer organizations to understand their economic gaps and facilitate mechanisms to increase access to and control of/over resources and transition out of poverty. Working with various organisation the last being CARE International in Malawi, she has served as an implementer, supervisor, and manager of various projects/programs funded by a variety of donor agencies including the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), European Union (EU), Irish Aid, Johnson and Johnson Foundation, and SALL Foundation among others. She has a unique combination of planning, technical expertise, managerial experience, business leadership, and organizational skills that balance work, team support and ad-hoc responsibilities in a timely and professional manner. She is currently pursuing her MSc Agribusiness Management with The Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR), formerly Bunda College of Agriculture.
