Security arrangements at the Nairobi Summit on ICPD25
Security at the Nairobi Summit will be jointly managed by the security forces of the Government of Kenya and the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS).
- The Kenyatta International Convention Center (KICC) will become a United Nations extraterritorial area from 9 November 2019 until the conclusion of the summit and related activities. UNDSS will manage the internal security arrangements within the convention center.
- The Kenyan Government security forces will be deployed outside the KICC and manage all security matters.
Please note that:
- Only accredited persons issued and holding a badge will be permitted to access the conference area.
- UNDSS and Kenyan security forces will manage any security incident.
- Each participant is bound by the code of conduct for the conference. Any violation of the code of conduct will result in the cancellation of accreditation/badge.
