Commitment description:

The SKILLZ programme aims to have a big impact on awareness. The tool used by the SKILLZ project is sport, specifically football. In the programme, we work on issues such as alcohol, drugs, HIV and sexually transmitted infections. The programme is implemented in schools and communities. We use sport because it is a strategy of well-being, which is key to facilitating learning processes. The reason for this sport is that, as we know, football is very popular around the world, and there is a lot of goodwill and resources in football, and a lot of passion in terms of following it. This is, therefore, the ideal environment to spread a message that aims to transform the lives of our young people to as many people as possible. Our action follows the SKILLZ curriculum guide, which is made up of a series of activities with a football training structure. In each of them, alongside the physical activity, there is a lesson in prevention on the corresponding health issue and they are given the necessary tools to acquire healthy living habits.
