Recalling national and international commitements towards SRHR and Youth participation

Commitment description:

Taking account of the rights and liberties enshrined in the Tunisian constitution of 27th of January 2014,
Recalling all international commitments made to recognize sexual and reproductive rights as human rights including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights , the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women,
Recalling all global strategies that mobilize the United Nations to step up its work with and for young people and that recognize young people as agents of positive change, including the new UN Youth Strategy “Youth 2030” and the new UNFPA Youth Strategy “My body, my life, my world»,
Recalling the UNSC resolutions 2250 and 2419 recognizing that youth and youth-led civil society can also play an important role in efforts to peacebuilding and sustaining peaceful societies,
Aligning with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals, the ICPD Programme of Action and the Beijing Platform for Action,
Recognizing that every human should enjoy the highest standards of sexual and reproductive health and rights without any discrimination on the basis of age, sex, gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, place of residence, religion, beliefs, disability, marital status, sexual orientation or gender identity,
Considering that an enabling legislative and policy environment aligning with international standards, going together with favorable social norms, attitudes and behaviors are prerequisite to advance ICPD promises,
Reiterating that young people are crucial to advancing, not just the ICPD Program of Action and the 2030 Agenda, but all social change,
Calling, unanimously, that nothing about us should be done without us,
