Commitment description:

Turkmenistan strives to achieve universal access to reproductive health as a part of universal health coverage, in particular by satisfying the unmet need in family planning:
- The state has taken the financial ownership of providing the contraceptives since 2017 and intends to procure four types of contraceptives through the state budget on a multi-year basis with free distribution among 80% of vulnerable women by 2025;
- The state will further strengthen the system of uninterrupted provision of reproductive health commodities through integration of a total market approach in the country.
