Draw on demographic diversity to drive economic growth and achieve sustainable development
Commitment description:Timor Leste is one of the countries who has strong value of cultures and identity in terms of social interactions. As a member of an impactful youth organization in Dili, we commit to work harder in order to build a peaceful and inclusive societies, ethnic minorities and indigenous people through advocacy about the importance of health reproduction and right to all the society layers, also to collaborate with some organizations specifically work to promote diversity; such as Blind Union, HATUTAN youth council who concern for the LGBTQ community and etc.
We believe that with include every single person regardless of their background, races, religions, sex orientations, genders and so on in the decision making process will have more impact and minimize the rate of discriminations, also will be accessible for everyone no exceptions.
Mode of engagement:
- Programmatic actionDili Model United Nations commit to the high impact of the conference. committees that include in the conference, they will come up with specific areas of action plans. one of them is advocacy about child marriage and teen pregnancy.
