Commitment description:I commit to engaging the county government on key sexual reproductive health rights for young people, looking at financing, accessibility of services and quality of services.
advocate for public participation bill in West Pokot County and financing of family planning costed implementation plan, establishment of youth friendly centers and involvement of young people in all matters that affect their sexual and reproductive health concern, push forward agenda of young people in county budget and economic forum
Mode of engagement:
- Policy and guidanceW e will advocate for domestication and full implementation of national adolescent sexual reproductive health through policy framework. the policy will champion for establishment and provision of youth friendly centers and services in West Pokot.
Uphold the right to sexual and reproductive health care in humanitarian and fragile contexts(12) Ensuring that the basic humanitarian needs and rights of affected populations, especially that of girls and women, are addressed as critical components of responses to humanitarian and environmental crises, as well as fragile and post-crisis reconstruction contexts, through the provision of access to comprehensive sexual and reproductive health information, education and services, including access to safe abortion services to the full extent of the law, and post-abortion care, to significantly reduce maternal mortality and morbidity, sexual and gender-based violence and unplanned pregnancies under these conditions.
