Elvira Pablo is a young lawyer, original from the indigenous town of Ayuuk (Mixe), and graduate from the Universidad Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM). Member of ASER Litigio A.C., the Commission for the Children and Youth  and the National Coordinator of Indigenous Women (CONAMI), the Continental Network on Indigenous Women of the Americas (ECMIA) and the National Network of Indigenous Women Lawyers (RAI). She collaborates with civil society organizations dedicated to the defense and promotion of Human rights. Her work in these organizations focuses on issues related to sexual and reproductive rights, prevention of violence, political participation and Indigenous communities’ collective rights. As part of CONAMI and ECMIA, she has participated in international fora such as the 17th and 18th The United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues and the sixty-third session of the Commission on the Status of Women  (CSW).
