Justine Coulson

Justine Coulson has spent over 25 years working in international development in Africa, Latin America and Asia. She's currently the Deputy Regional Director for UNFPA in East and Southern Africa where she is responsible for a varied regional programme covering 23 countries. Prior to this, she worked for Marie Stopes International for 10 years in East Africa and South Asia in country and regional leadership positions. She started her career in the Higher Education sector, where she worked internationally as a researcher and social development advisor, and led business and innovation development initiatives. She holds a PhD in International Development and Gender from the University of Newcastle, UK.
