Program Director Mother of Hope

Sirri Cynthia Wakuna Ngang is a young, dynamic and passionate gender and peace activist from Cameroon. She is the Programs Director at Mother of Hope Cameroon; a women and youth led organization which advocates for Human rights and peace. Cynthia is holder of a bachelor’s degree in Women and Gender Studies and Law from the University of Buea. Her zeal to ensure that young women live and thrive in societies void of violence, led her to peace activism at an early stage in her career, as she began to advocate against all forms of violence on girls in schools and communities. Her work in peace activism took a new turn with the outbreak of the ‘’Anglophone Crisis’’ in Cameroon, as she underwent several trainings on peace advocacy, nonviolence communication, and dialogue. Recently her activism has been geared towards echoing the voices of young women and girls who are victims of the conflict affected regions in Cameroon.
