Egypt has made remarkable progress in advancing sexual and reproductive health rights since the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) took place in Cairo in 1994, Aleksandar Bodiroza, UNFPA's representative in Cairo, writes in an op-ed for the Al-Ahram newspaper.

But he points out that the ICPD agenda remains unfinished in the country where the whole movement started 25 years ago.

Mr. Bodiroza believes that the 25th anniversary of ICPD is an opportunity for Egypt lead by example and live up the commitments made in 1994.
