Twenty-five years after the 1994  International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD), the time has come to take action on the commitments made in Cairo.

On World Population Day, donors, government, and civil society came together at the UK House of Lords to discuss ICPD priorities and what needs to be considered to ensure we start seeing results.

A group of panelists convened by UNFPA spoke of what action looked like in their contexts:

  1. Implementing transparency.
  2. Prioritizing inclusion.
  3. Recognizing difference.
  4. Establishing accountability.
