Hans Linde
President of RFSU, the Swedish Association for Sexuality Education

Hans Linde is the President of RFSU, the Swedish Association for Sexuality Education, which is an International Planned Parenthood Federation Member Association. Mr Linde was elected in 2017 and brings extensive experience and expertise from working with sexual and reproductive health and rights and international development cooperation.

Mr. Linde served as a member of the Swedish parliament and its Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs between 2006 and 2017. He was also head of his parliamentary group for five years. As part of his strong commitment to health and rights for all, he joined the cross-party group on sexual and reproductive health and rights and was one of the organizers of the Sixth International Parliamentarians’ Conference on the Implementation of the ICPD Programme of Action in 2014.

Mr. Linde has a long experience from civil society, and serves today on the board of Ipas, a global non-governmental organization dedicated to ending preventable deaths and injuries to women from unsafe abortion, and as a Senior Adviser to the Advisory Group of the Global  Parliamentary Alliance for Health, Rights and Development. In 2019 he received the UNFPA Award for Leadership and Commitment to Achieving Rights and Choices for All.

Mr. Linde studied political science, economics and Africa studies at the University of Gothenburg and lives in Gothenburg, Sweden.
