Pamoja Zone

Community is at the center of the ICPD; this was the case in Cairo in 1994 and remains equally true in Nairobi 25 years later.

The Pamoja Zone is an exciting and interactive space for the ICPD champions to come together, feel motivated, make new connections and learn from each other.

It will be divided into five different areas that bring together innovation, community conversations, art and interpersonal connections.

The Pamoja Zone will host talks on groundbreaking data innovations, conversations with inspirational leaders, and workshops to build the skills we need to achieve the ICPD agenda as a community.

Principles

The Pamoja Zone has been developed in the spirit of inclusiveness, participation and responsibility, and applies a set of principles for all participants.

The Pamoja Zone is a safe space for open discussion and dialogue, with zero tolerance for discrimination and/or harassment. All people’s opinions are respected, everyone is welcome and every voice is equally important. We ask you to enter the Pamoja Zone with positive energy and an open mind.

The Summit safeguarding principles apply to the Pamoja zone.

Areas

The Pamoja Zone is divided into 5 areas.

The main stage of the Pamoja Zone will showcase lightning rounds featuring youth and CSO ICPD champions, experts in innovation in data, unique conversation with some of the ICPD leaders in the "meet the leader" sessions, exclusive launches in the "hot off the press" session and other interesting activities.

You can find more details in the interactive programme under lightning sessions at the Umeme Stage.

The sessions will start at 11.30 on day one and run until the closing.

2. Community Corner
