ADOLESCENT/YOUTH AND DEVELOPMENT IN GUINEA-BISSAU

Commitment description:

4.1. Train 110 professionals in sex education, by 2024. 4.2. Advocate for and implement curricula that incorporate SRHR for adolescents and young people of both sexes, in and out of school, and a standardized school health programme, by 2024. 4.3. Build the capacity of 3 state and 10 non-state actors, 50 youth leaders, 110 youth peer educators and 5 youth networks to support adolescent and youth access to SRHR information and services in all 11 health regions, by 2024. 4.4. Train 660 teachers, 660 parents and 66 religious leaders to address SRHR needs of adolescents and young people using a combination of advocacy and social mobilization, by 2024.

(4) Access for all adolescents and youth, especially girls, to comprehensive and age-responsive information, education and adolescent-friendly comprehensive, quality and timely services to be able to make free and informed decisions and choices about their sexuality and reproductive lives, to adequately protect themselves from unintended pregnancies, all forms of sexual and  gender-based violence and harmful practices, sexually transmitted infections, including HIV/AIDS, to facilitate a safe transition into adulthood.
