Sociologist, activist, founding member of the youth group fighting against sentence 168-13 and overall discrimination in Dominican Republic. She is a well-known leader and spokesperson for the rights of Dominicans of Haitian descent. Currently, she leads on the initiative Muñecas Negras RD which empowers black women in Dominican bateyes by enabling economic opportunities and recovering values of their afro-identity. She coordinated the development of the autobiographic book “Nos Cambió la Vida”, she’s written several articles on racial discrimination, identity, denationalization, civil genocide of Dominicans of Haitian descent, among other topics.
